Hotel Alfred Sommier

I have stayed at this property probably 8 times now — I have lost count. There is a reason why I do so. Aside from being a beautiful boutique hotel, staff is consistent and very welcoming. I’ve stayed in several different types of rooms and although each one is different — this is not a big box hotel — my preference are the junior suites prestige. Right price, right accommodations, right size.

We have stayed at this property several times over the thousands of hotels available in the city of Paris. It checks off all of the boxes for us and most importantly, it like staying in a home. In fact, it was a home, part of the owner's family, some of which was converted into a 80 room hotel. It was wonderful seeing much of the same staff in place after Covid lockdowns and we look forward to staying again soon. July to be exact.

Hotel Alfred Sommier is family run Hotel, great location and a hotel one loves to revisit.

This hotel is a real hidden gem in Paris. It’s one of the few family-owned luxury properties that offers the quality and service of a Ritz or Four Seasons, but with a soul. No detail goes unnoticed, the food was superb, and the garden takes it to the next level. What they’ve created is truly impressive and I can’t wait to return!

The hotel is really beautiful and the staff was very nice. Unfortunately, I couldn’t help but be disappointed when our junior suite did not look similar to the photos posted online. I spent a lot of time looking for a hotel with the classic Parisian architectural details and paid more for a junior suite to receive an extra special experience. However, our room although nice, was a plain modern room with limited architectural detail. Even the location of our room felt like that of a standard room. Overall, a really nice hotel - I just wish the photos hadn’t set me up for disappointment.

This hotel was amazing and the staff is over-the-top exceptional. The rooms were beautiful and I would highly suggest getting the connecting rooms for a family of four as that was plenty of space. Fantastic location in the middle of everything but on a quiet and lovely street. Again, the staff was absolutely amazing and would absolutely come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What a fantastic experience to stay in this very historical hotel, which is more like a museum of the history the Sommier Family than like any hotel. The staff treats you like family and is helpful with everything you may need. This made the visit to Paris the best one yet!

Such a lovely jewel of a hotel. You can tell the owner takes great pride in sharing his historic family home as a newly converted boutique hotel. The rooms were charming, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful trip and hope to return again!

We had an excellent stay and can’t wait to return! We traveled from the US. The hotel stay alone was worth the experience traveling to France. We were greeted at check in by Richard de Warren, the hotel owner. He shared his rich family history starting with Alfred Sommier, a French industrialist in 1900’s who ran a successful sugar factory and purchased the famous Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte. He also gave us a private tour of the hotel which was originally his family home passed down through generations. Hotel staff was very kind and accommodating. Our room was magnificent with great attention to luxury and comfort. Breakfast and dinner was superb. Victor with concierge was amazing with last minute accommodations and reservations.
