Unfortunately I did not like my stay and had to book at the PullMan next door. Upon arrival one of the front desk staff a (woman with long hair and a bow in it) told me my room would be ready and left the area and I was waiting for over an hour before I asked another staff who simply looked up my name and saw my room my was ready. The other staff member was rude. When I went up to my room I was beyond disappointed at how outdated and small that room was. I was told by a staff member they don’t sell rooms only views! I requested a view of the Eiffel since I was there celebrating my birthday, the view actually was not a good view either. I also paid 90 Euros for a Celebration Box and I was extremely disappointed at what I received! $90 Euros for .99 cents items! The birthday banner was placed on the bed not the door.. 5 colorful kids balloons.. I was disappointed and will never stay there ever again. I was lucky that the Pullman next door had availability and I was able to book my remaining nights in Paris with them. This property needs a lot of upgrading, the bathrooms are very outdated. Not at all happy with the Mercure. I am a frequent traveler and this by far has been very bad.

I had to book last min at the property another room because they said 1 room cant accomodate 2 adults and 2 children age 2 and 5. So I have 2 rooms which the other is basically empty and costs me another 600 euros for 2 nights. I still think the reasoning (if there is at all) behind their rules is ridiculous. 1) I booked 1 hotel room for 2 adults and as per matter and attached screenshots from the app, it was said that they wont be able to accommodate 2 adults and 2 small children below the age of 6 and said the only other option is to book 2 rooms, which we had to and we even left the room empty as it doesnt serve any purpose for our small family. 2) The hotel mentioned when i showed the details from the app "2 children under age of 12 stays for free with existing bedding" only applies for free tax - which i rebutted as there's another part saying tax free is for only 18 and above which is 2 different matters. 3) After which they mentioned, that the 2 children stays for free applies only for Junior Suite room - which definitely was not mentioned anywhere in the details of the website or app upon booking. 4) Its also disappointing that hotels.com can only assist so much even though Ive always booked and my whole holiday here in Europe was booked through hotels.com for all my stays. The shower feels like a portable toilet. I still cant get over the fact that I end up paying for 2 rooms and only staying in one.
