We booked a family room at this budget hotel. The rate was very reasonable and worked out at less than £100 for all of us, including breakfast. We expected a very basic room in a basic hotel and that is what we got. The room was perfectly set out for us. The children had their own beds and were at the opposite side in a kind of cubby. For one night, it was great. The bathroom was basic but spotless and the shower pressure was good. There are basic toiletries provided. The room was 100% what I expected for the price I paid. We wanted a quick stopover before driving on to Calais. The hotel is situated near a massive retail park (5 min drive) and a huge carrefour. You might think this hotel to be unremarkable, but you would be mistaken if you appreciate good service. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed. Pierre on the front desk could not do enough for us. We are English but I speak a little French and he was more than happy to let me practice, speaking carefully so I understood or changing his phrasing to suit my level. His English was perfect too. He was so helpful when we came to need to book a restaurant, the hotel one is closed over the weekend however they do serve some very tasty looking snacks! Breakfast was also brilliant, look out for the caramel butter sauce! The staff belong in a five star establishment. Their attention to their clients is incredible. I simply wasn’t expecting such a great stay here. We will return!
