ibis budget Clermont Ferrand Sud

We chose this hotel as our overnight stop from driving back to the UK from Spain. The hotel was about a 10 hour drive from Alicante. It was easily situated just off the main motorway and is perfect if you are just looking for somewhere to rest your head. The hotel room was clean and tidy but the bunk bed was not made and I had to spend time putting sheets on that bed so that my child could go to sleep. There was no plug for the sink in the room which meant that we couldn't fill the sink for a wash. Toiletries were provided and the shower and toilet were clean. The toilet and shower were all together in a wet room so you needed to be careful of slippage when using the toilet straight after a shower. The breakfast was reasonable at around 6 euros per person, although the breakfast area was quite small and everything appeared to be squashed in. There was an adequate selection available of toast, croissants, cheese and yoghurts as well as fresh fruit juice and condiments. A coffee machine was available to dispense hot drinks including hot chocolate. The staff we came across were pleasant and friendly but did not speak English.
