NH Lyon Airport

I expected to arrive at the MH late and leave early. Like many, I had booked my family into 3 rooms so as to be at the airport for a relatively early flight on a Sunday morning. British Airways then thought it would be a great idea to cancel our flight a few hours before departure. Apparently planes need pilots in order to fly. The replacement flight was the following day, and the MH was the hotel chosen to accommodate passengers caught up in the delay. Reception handled the request for an extra night very efficiently, ensuring all charges fell to BA rather than us, thereby obviating the need to pay NH and then claim back the costs. So, overall, the NH is a very good choice of airport hotel at Lyon. Clean, quiet and well run. The rooms are modern and served by efficient lifts. One can walk to the airport entrance in about 5 minutes. There is no dedicated parking, but the airport facilities are close by. We ended up having both breakfast and an evening meal at the NH; both were buffet format, and perfectly adequate. It's a pity the coffee machine in the evening is based on instant coffee, and not bean to cup. My lasting memory is being pleased that, of the 3 airport hotels, I had chosen the NH.

Nicely designed hotel across the street from the airport. We were disappointed with our “deluxe” room that was very awkward for a family of four including two cribs! The tub is VERY dangerous and does not have any anti-slip costing or mat. Also the faucets spray water when you have anything more than minimal pressure and the entire vanity and mirror become soaked and makes a big mess.
