Hotel Villa Terra

Lets start from the beginning: I was a single female traveling to El Salvador at a time the US warns people not to travel there. Despite this, I had to make my trip. I was picked up from the airport by the transportation service the hotel uses. The driver was friendly and professional. I highly recommend the transportation service the hotel uses. I used their transportation service to go to San Miguel and then back to the airport. The room was clean, well kept, and the grounds are beautiful. A few things about hotels in Central America - expect to see baby lizards in your room, maybe other interesting insects, possibly no hot water in the sink (it's not really needed), and the beds are firm. Hotel Villa was true to all these but that doesn't make it a bad hotel. In fact, it's closer to a 4 star than a 3 star. The staff was so helpful in everything. Even setting up a mini fridge to keep my supply of water cool. I drink a lot of water. They helped me get food during a time when all the local restaurants were closed and the laundry service was quick. I highly recommend this hotel.
