Scandic CPH Strandpark

Firstly, the hotel itself is very well presented, really helpful staff, great rooms and the breakfasts went down very well with the kids (two teenagers). Just outside the airport with really good access from the Kastrup metro station. What this does give you from the hotels location is on the door step access to Amager Strandpark, which whilst outside the city, is one of the best parts of Copenhagen. As per the title, we had to book the hotel late on a Sunday night due to our 22.30 flight cancelled. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful at the hotel to get us into our rooms and settled. Really appreciate that.

Love that they have an airport shuttle. Kids were bummed we couldn't use the swimming pool (hours for families are 9am-2:30pm, and we got in at 2:45). Dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious and our server was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Amazing included breakfast - huge buffet with lot of good choices.

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate the needs of my sick child. The free breakfast was the BEST I’ve ever had in a hotel. Free shuttle to and from airport, shuttle driver even offered to drive us to a different location. Great pool and workout facilities. Very comfortable mattresses.

First time visiting Copenhagen and wanted to stay somewhere near the airport. Chose this property based on price and convenience from the airport . Having a shuttle service is a plus . Hotel is quiet, clean and has friendly staff. There is a breakfast buffet included with your stay that I didn’t care for . Food was too salty and not to my liking. My kids liked the pastries and chocolate. For the price, I would of liked two double beds instead of one double and one sofa pull out . That was really uncomfortable and not ideal if you are staying multiple days . Overall, great stay and highly recommend.

We loved to stay there with the family, although it was really a pity that we couldn't use the Spa with the family (kids under 16). In addition to this we recommend to book upfront a table for dinner in the Seating or the Skybar.

Please update property information to warn guests that shuttle service to/from airport is limited to certain days, that dinner seating is also limited (but there’s a cute family owned restaurant a short walk away), and that the bar area closes very early on Saturday afternoon.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the CHP strandpark. The breakfast was excellent. So many options, and brilliant vegan options! Overall the hotel was in excellent condition. Location wise it's great. An added touch is being collected from the airport. However it is close to a Metro line so walkable! The only negative part of the stay was that we had to move rooms. Which is never fun with 2 kids, after we had unpacked! There were issues with the hot water and we couldn't get cool water in the shower for the kids. So it burnt them. The room we moved to wasn't as nice or as clean. Loo paper was stuck to the room of the shower. Which wasn't pleasant at all.

We loved everything about this property. It's walkability to and from the airport (hotel shuttle doesn't run on Sat & Sun and really should be 7 days a week), ease of getting to bus, rail and metro all in walking distance and was really an awesome way to get around. We loved the breakfast that they offered every morning, the view from our family room and all of the staff was very friendly and spoke very good English. We loved going up to the bar at night and just unwinding from our busy day. We loved sitting up there and watching the planes come in. We could have done without all the spiders on the glass! lol I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The value, friendly staff and location were great for our first trip to Europe.

Scandic CPH Strandpark looked great on arrival, though the room had some basic faults. The TV did not work, there was no mini-fridge, the shower soap dispenser did not work and the lighting was confusing. The place looked clean and tidy so very surprising to find a used disposable razor on the floor. Luckily we got to it before the small children.

Ideal for overnight stay when a good sleep is primary need close to airport. Airport shuttle transport is “0ffered”, but very misleading. Shuttle available only 8-8pm? And only every half hour, and only for 6?8? Persons, and everything is already booked!!! ( ie. No help to stranded exhausted traveler. Also, these parameters are not mentioned until booking has been confirmed and short comings are unknown! We booked months ahead but too early to reserve shuttle and then too late to get any shuttle! PS. Beds were great. No towels provided in room ( had to trek back to main desk to get them. ) Breakfast was delicious and international variety delightful. Thank you for the experience of Copenhagen for even a brief few hours. Nearby boats/bays and oceanic Museum could be advertised/ mentioned for brief/ uninformed/unexpected visitors like my family.
