Scandic Palace Hotel

It's hard to beat the central location of the hotel. Close to many of the major sights, walking distance to the Central Station, metro station a few hundred feet away, the Copenhagen's main pedestrian shopping street begins at the end of the block. For the grand history of the hotel, the lobby is underwhelming. Our room was very comfortable and mostly updated. It's a bit confusing at first as you have to use their web link to reserve the time you want to go to the buffet breakfast. You also need to use their website to schedule if you want your room serviced (must be done the day before you want it cleaned). Breakfast was good and offered something for everyone, including make your own waffles. We saw lots of people making sandwiches for lunch later. A plus if on a budget. Lack of security for the elevators as there is no one checking people going up in the elevators as most big city hotels do. Did not bother us, but others might find that uncomfortable. Overall, we would recommend to friends and family.

I felt like I was coming home. She’s a grand old lady and reminds me back to my childhood staying here with my grandmother.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. This was our first time in Copenhagen and I couldn't have picked a better location for hotel. We were across from Tivoli park (our 9 year old daughter enjoyed that!), and right in the midst of all dining and shopping! Everything is walkable. At night it felt very safe. We loved our stay.

We spent 5 days at the Scandic Palace Hotel as a family and we couldn't fault it. The staff we so helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was incredible, a real treat,with so much choice. It is central for everything, either walking or by metro.We would have no hesitation to return in the future.

Overall the hotel was nice, great location & had a great breakfast. However, we had a frustrating check-in experience. When arriving early, the front desk had asked us to wait until our check-in time and when it came they made us stand in line with people who had just walked in. We had a lot of luggage & a baby and nobody helped us with baggage. The concierge did not know how to get to key attractions. The "cleaning" consisted of only new towels and emptying garbage cans. They didn't even make our bed one of the days.

Really nice comfortable stay. Breakfast is amazing. Nice clean room. Cause it does over look the main square there were protests outside in the day, so might be a little loud for tiny kids. My 5 year old was fine.
