Hotel Central Beach 9

Modern hotel with all mod cons, shower room with toilet and 2nd separate toilet. Double bedroom and v.good sofa bed for kids right in front of large Netflix enabled TV👍. Ideal for the beach and restaurants. Good breakfast and onsite parking, first come first served basis, public car park available alongside. We stayed the last week of the season so hotel restaurant was closed for lunch/dinner but not a problem though as plenty of places to eat nearby. Would recommend for families or couples.

We are a family of 14 ages 8 to 78 who stayed for three nights of our 11 day Croatian vacation. Makarska is a fun, bustling beach town, and Central Beach 9 is at the heart of it. The hotel staff are welcoming, professional, and very accommodating. The rooms are big, bright, comfortable and well maintained. We had four rooms and each had private bath and kitchenette. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff did a fantastic job. There are a multitude of restaurants and bars right outside the hotel door that accommodate every taste and diet. Due to it's proximity to the promenade, there is so much to see and do from this property. We enjoyed time lounging on the beach, shopping and playing on the massive blow-up play-place. We took a full day boat excursion to the islands of Hvar and Brac and enjoyed every minute. We hiked a portion of the Biokovo Mountain trail and will always remember the amazing views (not for inexperienced hikers, and bring plenty of water!). If you're looking for fun and adventure, this is definitely the ideal hotel to enjoy it from. I would highly recommend Central Beach 9 for those planning a trip to Makarska.

Booked 2 nights at Hotel Central Beach 9, Makarska mainly based on the location and sea views shown online. The hotel is right opposite the beach however, what wasn’t known was that the view is of a huge green inflatable assault course in the sea. The location is ideal for young families which was not what we were looking for, we would have preferred somewhere less commercial. The hotel itself is clean, modern and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods to chose from. Internet was not great and the smart tv did not work which was reported but not sorted. Parking was reserved at €14 a night which in my view should have been included. The marina is a short walk from the hotel with a range of nice restaurants and bars to chose from. Overall a nice hotel but the views are not as advertised.
