Hotel Vimbula

Quiet neighborhood in Dubrovnik, with free parking if you are traveling with car and free breakfast. The property is a family business, her owner was so nice and makes very comfortable your stay. The terrace is a spectacular scenery so you must enjoy.

Our stay at Vimbula was really pleasant and the check in went really well with a very friendly staff member who gave us lots of useful information which we were very thankful for. As a side note though, and something to maybe take on board for future guests, it would have been extremely beneficial to ask us upon check in if we wanted to reserve a table at the restaurant for the evening. We were unable to get a table and told to come back, and when we did come back there was a promise of a table for two, until a German family of 8 showed up and basically stole our table because there was clearly more money to be made with them. We were pretty much shoe’d away which made us not feel very welcome considering we were guests at the hotel and the the German family were not. As a whole though, the room was lovely and the views were beautiful. It’s just a shame we didn’t get the same friendly welcome for dinner as we got for check in. It was a case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians that night.
