Moana Sands Beachfront Villas

Great location (across from large grocery store & gas station that are open 24x7. Units are large with all items one would need for a comfortable family holiday. Nice pool and beach is steps away with free water toys (kayaks, snorkeling equipment, water shoes). Breakfast at Coco Latte (attached to hotel) was very good. Service was nice as was the hotel spa. Internet access across the island is a challenge but managed to get a decent signal in the hotel as there is a Hotspot close by. Rental car agency (go cook islands) across the street so you don't have to rely on the bus (stops right at the hotel)

I stayed in one of the two 1 bedroom studios which are side by side on the ground floor. The only downside was the telephone didn't work and you could hear every sound including footsteps from the 2 bedroom villa above. I was moved to a top floor 2 bedroom villa after 3 nights and finally got a decent sleep for my final 3 nights. But workmen arrived to work in villa below and for 2 days there was noise of banging and drills Although the villa was new looking the bottom drawer in kitchen that held pots and pans couldn't be opened. I accessed it by taking out the drawer above. The electric jug's lid didn't open so you had to fill it from the spout. There was food stuck to some of the cooking utensils and cutlery. Two empty coke bottles under the sofa which I discovered when looking for the missing TV remote control. DVD player didn't work. Sheet on bed terribly stained. Squashed tomato and nuts on balcony floor. And someone's underpants were on shelf in the studio. Nice new bath and beach towels. Staff very friendly. Eventually got a replacement remote control and DVD player. Location excellent. Supermarket across road, nice beachfront. Good for families.
