This is a perfect place for families and people looking to get away. You truly don't have to leave the property. All food options were tasty and the staff was incredible. The pool area was spacious and the beach had plenty of staff and security to make perfect for relaxation without worry. We highly recommend. 10/10.

A great resort, compared to the price of other hotels close by, this one is by far the best option if you want to relax by the beach and the pool. It has easy access to the beach with tents and chairs available all along the hotel. There are multiple pools to pick from, with a big one in the middle that’s great for kids. The service staff is very attentive and polite, the breakfast buffet is great, with plenty of options to pick from. There’s something for everyone and there’s a small shopping center at walking distance but getting a taxi from the hotel is safe and sometimes cheaper than getting one outside.

This hotel is a jewel. It is best experienced as a family vacation resort. Choose the all-inclusive plan and enjoy the beach, the wonderful buffets and restaurants, and the nightly entertainment. Many activities for children. Sailing and other activities are available for a fee. The property and rooms are well maintained. Staff is plentiful and extremely courteous. English is scarcely spoken: resort caters to families from Latin America. Extremely good value. Only one complaint: I was woken up early one morning by some private party setting up equipment on the beach before dawn. Do you need to de-stress and have everything taken care of? This is the place.

We stayed on the boogalo , 4 people make sure to add age of your kids befire booking up your travel, rooms are ok, old and bed (mattress)are a litle firm, rooms are quite, security is very good you woll be safe, we just got breakfast plan , so we used to have breakfast at 10:00am ( excellent breakfast) and enjoy the beach and pool until 2:00 pm them there is a small shopping center with excellents restaurants 9 mt walking, i do recoment taking the taxi cup , is only $2 one way , security will call you the cap for you, o you can go santamarta downtown and get a nice meal for $ 10 to $12 per person with drinks. Now the instalation for the hotel are very good, has alot to do, and the beach is amazing, i do recoment this hotel is a paradise and santamarta has many thing to do.

It all started from the beginning: -Could not find our reservation before checking in (very worrying) -Lost our luggage at the lobby (scary) -Room with dead cockroach (warm welcome) -Terrible Covid measures (oh boy) -The food is close to un edible. (I actually lost weight- not an exageration) -Service is terrible- Waiters (They are close to hating you- specially at the beach) -What bothered me the most: Scammed me by changing me from hotel room from new building with sea view to an old room with nosy neighbors. They did this assuming I would not notice... that is what was completely dishonest and really encouraged me to write this review and let you know, and advise you to book somewhere else if you are looking for a enjoyable holiday. -Only pro: It is inexpensive, but it is the case, "you get what you pay for". At the end, spend an extra few dollars, and have a quality vacation with your family...dont do Irotama.

The resort is gorgeous. A lot of amenities, however, this does not make up for the lack of service, or scamming this resort does in order to profit their earnings. From the start of security check-in, the wait was 12min to verify our names on the list. Our family of 5 was greeted by a shortly-patient security guard, who led us to a more negligent check-in front desk clerk. Everything these days are done electronically so asking for WIFI was more than difficult. The total check-in time was over an hour (72 min). This would have been fine if the didn’t charge us for an occupancy space. We bought 2 rooms that occupied 3 people each.. there was only 5 of us. I’m not a person that usually asks for managers. But the gentleman at the desk called his manager to see if the hotel could over look this occupancy fee. NOPE. We paid the fee and continued our check-in process.. Later we received drink vouchers that only covered wine, pina colada’s or sodas.. hmm The food was less than ok.. and the servers are usually charging their cellphones, or adding extra flowers in their hair while we wait patiently for our drinks or to order. Overall, I’m sure we could find better service elsewhere. Wont return and I don’t recommend anyone to come here for their first visit to Santa Marta.
