Moonlo Hotel

This was a very different experience. My reccommendation the Ducky room for families.

Have stayed here before and was happy then, but this second time the experience was not good. The room was not ready when we arrived so we had to wait in the lobby. There was a lot of noise in the hallway from other guests yelling. The family room was 2 floors so kids slept upstairs, and first time only one big room which was more convenient.

Make sure you get name and address in Chinese as the google translator could not give the taxi driver the address. Had to get the train from Shanghai to airport and try from there. Taxi driver called hotel but no answer. After 2 hours we eventually got there. As we were flying out the next morning and leaving at 5.15am there was no breakfast or airport transfer available. I wished we had booked an airport hotel as it would have been so much easier. Had dinner in a nice restaurant next to hotel. Hotel room was huge and. was a bit tiered looking. Had a deck outside which we used and it was nice and quiet. Not sure what was near the hotel as we didn't get to have much time there. Looked like a very family area with lots of children about. Excellent supermarket next to the hotel and was very cheap.

Moonlo hotel is awesome. I would heartily recommend it to all my friends. We arrived at the end of May, initially I booked the family suite with loft style but because my son is too young to climb and my parents are too old to climb, I asked for room change. They helped us free of charge and switch to the room that suit us the best. We had a wonderful three nights there, we rested very well for our Disneyland trip during the day. They also provide breakfast service with lots of food options which is awesome. The location is great - there are lots of restaurants and It is close to Disneyland and pudong airport.

I had the best experience staying here with the family. All the staff have been super helpful. We went to the breakfast quite late and the owner has offered to cook extra dishes just for us. It was raining when we leave and the owner and a staff member walked us to the shuttle bus with an umbrella. On top of the friendly staff, the interior of the hotel is full of characters. Highly recommended to all and we’ll surely be back again.

This hotel is not for a business trip, recommend for family trip

A very unique hotel, the family room is very suitable for vacation travel with children. A family of three or four would be very comfortable in one room. The breakfast was also very good and the waiters were very warm and friendly. I will choose this hotel next time.

Was on a overnight connection at PVG, and booked this hotel. Overall it was a satisfactory stay. Their airport shuttle service was quick and convenient, and the staff there were all very friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was beyond expectation, and facilities within and around the hotel were comprehensive. We booked a family suite, and the room was a little smaller than we anticipated, but it didn't bother much. Regardless of the language you speak, the staff would be able to serve you well. Will definitely come back again for next PVG trip.

This is a very elegant and beautiful family run hotel… the room was incredible, everything from the wonderful walk-in shower room to the huge, amazingly comfortable bed and especially the pillows ! The interior design is so unique and heartwarming … it’s exceptional. Finally … the breakfast is unbelievably fresh, with a great variety of dishes and so delicious that I would go back just to eat there !!! And very Impressed with the staff … so kind and polite and helpful. Finally, the shuttle is perfectly on time from and to the airport. I strongly recommend to you this wonderful boutique hotel !!!

What a hidden gem this hotel was. Perfect for our 15 hour stopover in Shanghai. The staff allowed us to check in around 9am, which we were so grateful for. The family room had two huge king beds and the staff were AMAZING. I'm not sure of the name of the young guy at reception who speaks English but he had the best energy and was so kind and helpful and also made sure that we had breakfast which was so yum. Make sure you head to the wonton/noodle/omelette section of the breakfast because it's incredible. I wish we could have stayed another night or two but we had to catch our flight to Sydney. It was a little tricky trying to get the shuttle there so we just caught a cab but the shuttle back to the airport was clean, on time and free! Love this property so much. Thanks for having us.
