Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Golden Bay

Lovely family-friendly Marriott by the beach with Kumamon and teepee room decorations and amenities designed for children. Expedia had the room marked as smoking but I was pleasantly surprised by staff on arrival that all rooms are non-smoking. Manager Chen and her team was warm and friendly and anticipated all our needs. Would visit again next time we need a getaway!

Great and very new beach resort from Marriott on Dapeng Peninsula. Wonderful green garden with palm trees and small lakes with direct access to the sand beach. There are three outdoor swimming pools which have been closed because of winter time. Temperature during stay was max. 24 deg. One indoor pool was open. Although we stayed over New Year in the Hotel it was not crowded during the peak days. Hotel has one main restaurant with mostly buffet with western touch and one Chinese restaurant called Man Ho. Really fresh and delicious cooked Chinese meals are offered there. For young kids there was a playroom open during daytime which was supervised by one staff all the time. In general, we always saw a lot of staff taking well care of the hotel environment. Hotel Park is very clean and all plants in perfect shape, only at the sand beach we found some small not so nice leftovers from guests. Hotel is part of a big construction project at Golden Bay (Xinshatan) with more hotels, residences and even an indoor snow dome still to come. So construction is visible outside of the hotel but it did not concern us at all. We had a great and relaxing stay at Marriott. Would definitely come again.
