Paradise—only if your idea of paradise is cacophony of screaming children. This place it’s maybe too family friendly, to put it on more positive terms. Spa and massages were great though. The common areas are hell if you’re looking to relax, and there’s no escape, you’re supposed to have breakfast/lunch/dinner here because this is a resort experience. Staff is a mixed bag. In conclusion, not worth it for the price if you’re not packing kids.

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. It’s easy to get to by bus if travelling through Osorno. Just a local bus company ELP. Great Spa, fabulous grounds with walking trails. Bowling, mini golf and plenty for kids too.

Lovely property from another era. Puyehue is a sprawling lodge style hotel perched on a hill overlooking Lago Puyehue My husband and I spent 3 nights as part of a larger trip. While lovely, we felt it was better for families. That being said, the bright spot was the thermal spa. There are 3 well maintained pools: outside, outside with a cover and inside. The inside pool was our favorite because it was so unique. PROPERTY Great location for outdoorsy types wanting to get into the national park. Beautiful, well maintained grounds and hotel. ROOMS Comfortable and a good size, but somewhat dated. SERVICE Attentive and friendly. English was not extensive, but enough overall. We would definitely recommend to families or older couples who are looking for a relaxing holiday focused on spa and outdoors.

We visited in mid August 2018. Since there is a 4pm check in and 11am checkout you really also need to purchase the additional buffet lunch which also entitles you to use all the facilities. There are bikes, horse rides, a full bowling alley, a game room (with taca-taca or table soccer, ping pong and pool tables). The property is beautiful and has nice walks and bike rides. And of course there are the large nice thermal pools (indoor and outdoor) where you can swim for hours. For a family vacation it was well worth it, particularly as there was rain part of the time. We spent another night at the Aguas Calientes cabins and also a day of skiing in Antillanca (a low key but enjoyable small ski resort), not too far away where you can see two spectacular volcanoes and a lake while skiing. Make Puyehue your base of activities for several days. Scenery in the area is as beautiful (don't miss the small lakes on the way up to Antillanca).. Ski rental in the Puyehue hotel is actually cheaper than at the top of the mountain. Do be warned that there's essentially no stores or gas after Entre Lagos (which doesn't have much if any tourist attractions) which is 30 minutes away. So plan ahead and bring some water and food, unless you plan to eat nothing but 'all you can eat' buffets.
