Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown

Our family enjoyed the stay at the Hyatt. This hotel is great for people who travel for business and leisure. The facility is very clean. The breakfast is also included.

I stayed at the Hyatt on a Sat in April for one night. I had with me my spouse and 2 children. Our stay was comfortable and kids really enjoyed the pool. Room was clean. Breakfast was very much appreciated and had a wide variety / stocked frequently by servers who were quick to clear the plates from the table and brought coloring materials for my kids. Only two issues were the sink in the bathroom needs unclogging as water would collect and sit there. Also, the parking was a nightmare. The underground garage was not able to accommodate our vehicle due to height restrictions. My husband ended up parking on the street (which was supposed to be free on weekends) but it was a no park zone and we ended up getting a ticket for $90. Overall, I would consider staying here again.

We loved our stay at the Hyatt. The hotel was extremely clean, all the staff were very friendly. This is a great hotel for families. The hotel is situated in a sketchy area of the city, but we still liked having everything close by. The only thing I would say is that the parking lot is very small. There isn't a lot of space as it is a shared lot. Overall, great hotel we would definitely come back!

We had a great overnight stay with 2 kids. They loved the pool (though it was quite chilly) and sauna which has a nice view of the street.

We stayed with family. It is a nice place just within walking distance of many shopping and dining options. The hotel also offers breakfast, which was a nice addition to our trip. Additionally, there are excellent facilities available if you need to work, study, or exercise. It's definitely a great place to come back to.

The hotel itself is great. The amenities are great, the pool, the gym and the sauna are in good conditions. The breakfast is simple and it’s buffet style. The staff is nice. However around the property is really dirty and scary we travelled with kids and we couldn’t walk around there a lot because of the smell, the people and the streets.

Had a great visit with wife and two kids. It was Montreal cold in November but the Hotel accommodation made our trip extra special. Clean, friendly, helpful, central(Metro) etc….

Overall the hotel was very nice and in a convenient location with a great supermarket at the base of it. Beware of the parking underneath. Roof is under 6 feet tall. I don't recommend anyone with an SUV to park down there. The only gripe i have s the the Breakfast Buffet. The food was very good, but the room temperature was unbelievably cold. You are doing this on purpose to get people out as fast you you can so as not to linger around and eat more food than they other wise would have. I came down at 9:00 am for breakfast with my kids and literally froze while having some food. This really needs to be addressed.

The hotel itself is lovely. All the common areas, pool area, reception areas and of course the rooms where new, stylish and always clean! Cleaning came everyday. The staff are super friendly and professional. A couple of the men working on the front desked plus a security guard helped me secure a cab because I was headed to the airport at an odd time and no Ubers available. The hotel is close to the metro and you don't even need to leave the hotel to get to a supermarket and a Starbucks. Now the cons; it's in downtown Montreal which is full of homelessness and litter unfortunately. The hotel appears to be next to a refugee shelter and although I did not see anything violent or criminal it was a very busy area right outside the hotel where buses arrived daily with more refugees. I was traveling with kids and wished the surrounding area around the hotel was different. The elevators were very slow and it seemed that one was always out of order and we waited a bit for the elevator. There aren't any good eats around there either.

I found the sofa bed to be inadequate for the kids and it made the sleeping arrangements difficult. The springs under the mattress were quite awful. Also the daily cleaning service was not up to scratch. In 4 days, they didn't give new toiletries and didn't show for a couple days despite us asking for them to come an our after they came to the door. All else was great.
