St Christophe Hotel & Spa, Ascend Hotel Collection

Hotel was good and spa mmenities too. But kids in the spa with toys ? Smooking people in the spa area in the water with pants ?!? Even smoking weed close to the spa area in the parking as the spa area is in the parking. Spa are well maintained but the surrounding amenagement is poor

The tv was to big for there cabinet and even that cabinet is to big for the size of room. It only gave us a few inch between the bed and the cabinet doors, it wasnt great with a family of 4 to have this bottleneck in the room.

We booked this hotel for a 2 night Christmas family getaway for 12 people. There were pros and cons to this hotel and I will list them below. PROS: • Hotel looked beautiful on the surface or exterior. • Staff allowed our kids to run around and didn’t bother us about being loud or rowdy since we were a larger group • Balcony View of the lake is beautiful • Beautiful bike/walk path just behind the hotel along the water. • Nordik Spa is really nice and cozy but costs extra $. • Indoor pool is beautiful but it is not heated and too cold. CONS: • If you reserved a room with 2 queen beds, they were hard as a rock and similar to motel beds from the old days and more double size than queen. Those who had 1 bed in the room seemed to be softer and better quality than the rooms with 2 beds. • We all complained about the pillows. Worst pillows I’ve ever had in a hotel, ever. • The tv units were huge but the tv was also too large to fit inside the unit. Bizarre. They had the tv sideways in the unit • Hotel front staff was not knowledgeable about activities in the area, or taxi services. • Food quality at restaurant was HORRIBLE. Service was very slow to do lack of support for busy waiter. Bar Manager was there, but not helping his waiter who had to take orders and make his own drinks. Manager was rude and unsupportive of his own staff, and extremely unprofessional toward us as customers, and his waiter who was working very hard and was very friendly while being overwhelmed.

We had a family trip and really enjoyed our time at your lovely resort. Great views, easy walkabout the wayerfront and beautiful architecture.

Our room was extremely clean and spacious. NIce towels and linens. I hadn't realized that the outdoor loungers and small pools were limited to Spa guests so we only had access to a small indoor pool that was well-enjoyed by children. The restaurant is in the middle of a staff change so there were some issues there. People at Reception were excellent and very helpful.

An excellent location. Great for families as pools were very busy. Large bathrooms and spacious room. An excellent hotel.

Very nice place. Furniture a bit tired but charming. Came with family. No much for little ones.

This was by far one of the best places that I have ever stayed in. The atmosphere was very welcoming. It was clean and most importantly all staff made us feel like family. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. "Annie" was our breakfast hostess and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We arrived at closing hour the first morning for breakfast and she opened up the door and was so friendly and cooked our breakfast as if it it was the beginning of her shift. She was warm, friendly and made us all feel like we were family. Most people would be annoyed seeing a family of 5 coming in at closing. She never rushed us. On Contrary. We were welcome to stay as long as we wanted. Similar experience with "Anne Marie" who was our server on our last night for supper. All Desk staff were also amazing. Honestly can't emphasize enough how much we loved the atmosphere and friendliness. Felt like we were family. Will definitely go back and highly recommend this hotel. I WOULD give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel is quite nice, it has great features and is quite pleasant to stay in. One downside was the AC wasn't turned on prior to arrival so the room was rather warm. With children, it is a bit difficult to manage, for everything else, it was great!
