Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton St. John's Airport

I stayed at your hotel May 11/24 I had to fly out for work on Sunday Checked into my room that evening Settled down for a quiet night But that wasn’t the case Other guests took over the hallways with there kids screaming and shouting Music and loud noises I went to front desk to address the matter Also my toilet was plugged so I couldn’t use it Very disappointed But overall a beautiful hotel

Staff was amazing and went beyond for us. Breakfast was great. The pool Is always very cold, every time we stay here this is the case but it’s suppose to be heated. I’ve machine on 3rd floor only. My kids love the idea of a sofa bed, we always stay in a room with this. The sofa bed at this property was extremely uncomfortable, my 2 & 7 year old did not want to sleep there so we all slept in the king sized bed. The hall ways were always crowded. We used to love staying here but the last 3 stays have been a little disappointing. I think we will choose a different property next time.

We picked the hotel because they had free shuttle to the airport and did not want to drive 11/2 hrs to get to our flight. When we booked it was on line that said fold out cot was available because larger room was not. When we got there we were informed they could not give us a cot. So one of our family members slept on the floor and when we asked for blankets it was like a big bother. And no other rooms available. It was VERY noisy with teenagers in hallway slamming doors etc till very later. We had to get up at 0345 for our flight. We got up several times to ask them to keep it down and also went to the front desk. They advised us that they had been here for several weeks with multiple complaints. (Some refugees) I don’t understand why they could not ask them with multiple complaints to have quiet time after 11 pm. I don’t think that would be to much to ask. This is a very busy hotel that probably has a lot Airport people staying here. So flights come in all hours and leave all hours so I would think this is a important issue with people that stay there. Very tired for our flight and disappointed wish we would have taken the chance with driving in 11/2 hrs early in the dark. And still would have gotten better sleep. For almost $180 a night not real happy with them. I will use a different hotel next time.

The location was very convenient. But the hotel itself we were very disappointed with. We brought our kids in for a night, excited about the pool. It was so cold. We could stay in it. The pillows were very uncomfortable. And the staff at the front desk weren’t very friendly.

I usually write a review when I want to give a compliment and 5* however for the first time in this case, just for the sake of families, I share my comments and experiences. I booked this place late and I hadnt many choices as everywhere was booked. It was a mistake to fall for the review score which should be 7/10 at its best. Families with children, I dont recommend this place as they see you like a product a "third party ( booked through expedia)" and not a "member" and not in a human way, repeated the sales manager Carolyn Davis. It might be okay for a sole traveler for one night stay and that's all. -The location is far from anything that might be convenient for the families even with a rental car. -The hotel is not very clean and they dont clean it unless you ask and then they dont clean the floor and they dont make the bed even though that they have it on mirror. The sheets had stained and we used our own sheets. -pool's bottom needs maintenance and injured my son's feet. -Shuttle bus is complimentary as per sales manager so dont count on it. -break fast, is okay. -Staff: Bailey was a nice welcoming person around all guests. general manager Jonathan is no use when you need an explanation. sales manager Carolyn, a bully person who made our family traumatized with her behavior. I dont care about any reply to this review, I did what was right and I try to keep the good memories of Saint John's not the hotel part.

Enjoyed the new communication system. Received a text immediately after check-in. Was able to use that # to communicate with the front desk. The included buffet breakfast was great, something that we all enjoyed. My family & I would definitely stay here again!
