Borei Angkor Resort & Spa

Great place to stay while exploring the Angkor Wat complex. It’s not near the Pub St which was a positive point for my family. Great 5 star amenities and very attentive and service oriented staff. My wife is gluten intolerant and they accommodated all our meals.

My family and I stayed at the Borei Angkor Resort & Spa for 6 nights. We were warmly greeted by the wonderful staff at the hotel, given a cold towel and a lovely cool drink whilst we checked in. Their amazing hospitality continued throughout our whole stay at the hotel. Location wise it's on the outskirts of town around a 15 mins walk (5 to 7 mins tuk tuk ride) from the main night life area "Pub Street" we preferred to be away from the noise and found Borei Angkor Resort & Spa to be the perfect location. The hotel has a free airport shuttle pick up and drop off service, which was great! We used the hotel to organise sightseeing trips for us and we were not disappointed. Our guide and driver were professional, on time and knowledgeable. Overall a a fabulous holiday, one that I would recommend!

The impression upon arriving was very good, given the long driveway, grand & spacious (first half) of lobby, and the welcoming staff with a platter of local snacks & pandan drink (both delicious). When we checked into our room, I was less impressed with the cheap looking furnishings and very firm bed. There's a louvre window that separates the bedroom and bathroom, so every sound made in either room can be heard in the other room (not pleasant if sharing with non-family). When we asked for additional hangers, we were given wire ones, surprising given their 5-star status. Otherwise, the staff were mostly lovely, friendly, very efficient, and helpful. The pool area is rather spacious, a nice place for a late afternoon/early evening drink. The breakfast spread is very decent, with a good spread of Western and local choices. There're not many (trusted) eating places within walking distance. Best to take a 5-min tuk tuk to Pub Street, which is full of cafes and shops. It's also next to the Night Market (for souvenirs etc).

Borei Angkor Resort was fabulous, could not fault it. We managed to book online the night before arriving in Cambodia for a deluxe suite and we were upgraded on arrival to a junior suite which was mind spectacular.....highly recommend this resort and if we were to return this would be the place for us to stay, the best service I have ever had in my travels.
