First off, this hotel sits on a stunning property. Your access to the waterfalls cannot be compared. You can take a 7:30am trail walk to see the falls without the tourists! The breakfast buffet alone is worth the five star review...Egg omelet bar, egg benedict and other hot options, fruit, waffles, meats and cheeses, pastries, all the breakfast greats. But I want to speak of the service. The staff go above and beyond! I had left my camera in the back of the taxi from the Argentine side of the falls. The front desk not only tracked down the cab driver and negotiated it's release (Not kidding, the cab driver demanded money to bring it to the hotel) but also arranged for financing since I had no Brazilian dollars! They rescued a cherished item for me. I *cannot* express how amazing this hotel is. I don't stay in high-end hotels often (I tend to go for quantity of trips over quality--mostly mid-range hotels) but I will go back to this hotel and stay for a week, easily.

Magical place . Our first time in Brazil and it was a highlight of our beautiful vocation . Old fashion service ( you don’t get it these day often ). Delicious food and cocktails. Great entertainment. Clean , welcoming, safe , amazing location . Everyone make you feel home . Absolutely recommend to our friends and hope to come back with kids and grandkids. We did stay almost a week and it was hard to leave. We miss it already .So greatfull for all experiences and wonderful times. Thank you !

This hotel is spectacular. The location and natural beauty are, of course, the highlights with such close proximity to the falls. The details are lovely and thoughtful, from the truffles in the room, the Havainas and the baby crib and toiletries. It’s all perfect. All the restaurants are great and the pool is lovely with toucans flying overhead. The anteaters stealing breakfast was a highlight. The hotel is simple perfection, not pretentious but so smart. I can’t wait to go again.

From the moment you arrived at the park’s main gate until you saw that gate in your rear view mirror, everyone made you feel like and treated you like family. Always ready, willing and most able to not only meet your needs but to anticipate them. In particular, the concierge staff even translated a letter a young girl wrote thanking anyone who purchased her art work. That’s just one example of their commitment to exceed your expectations. That level of service and attention to your needs was evident throughout the entire staff. If you have any second thoughts about staying here Don’t.

Five star venue with amazing location and property Hotel itself is beautiful with wonderful attentive staff Breakfast and dinners are plentiful with over abundant choice but if I did have any criticism it would be quality if food which was good but not “great” like rest of facility Having said that, would definitely go back and recommend without hesitation to family and friends

We stayed at the Belmond at the recommendation of family who had stayed there previous. We only did it because of the early "private" access to the Brazilian side of the falls before the park is officially open. We were not disappointed. It was a bit rainy/foggy in the morning, but we were out on the walkways at 6 :30 AM and basically had the park to ourselves until 9:30. It was incredible having the opportunity to experience the Park with only a handful of other hotel guests. The hotel itself was exquisite. The website photos make it look like a dated colonial-style hotel, but it is truly high-end and tasteful. Upon check-in, we were informed that our (cheapest) room had been upgraded. We ate dinner outside on the terrace (bar food) which was very good. The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast was vast and varied-anything you could imagine, including champagne and bloody marks, and even real maple syrup. The pool was beautiful. The service was readily available and professional, but not intrusive. The tips are included in your restaurant bill. This was nice for us since we were only there and in Brazil for one day, so we did not need Brazilian real. Despite the high price, the private time spent at the falls in the early morning was priceless. We were only there for one night, but wished we could have stayed another day to truly enjoy the hotel and its amenities.
