Hopkins Bay Belize, a Muy'Ono Resort

The property was beautiful! We traveled with another family and our kids had an amazing time. We rented an entire unit (3 bedroom) that was right on the ocean which is handy with kids. We could sit on the porch and watch them while they were swimming or looking for sea creatures. One thing that stands out is the staff. They are over the top amazing. Wilber was an incredible bartender and gave us all sorts of information about Belize. He truly made the stay that much better. We didn't know what to expect with the onsite restaurant but it was honestly some of the best food we had in Belize. We were in San Pedro before Hopkins and the food here was far superior to anything we had in San Pedro. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there one of the days since we weren't doing any excursions and all of the food was amazing. Don't hesitate to stay at this resort.

Our room was a few steps from the beach. Beach and pools were uncrowded - we sometimes had them to ourselves. The restaurant was great. Everyone was gracious, warm, happy and helpful. The property was doing a lot to contribute to the community, a village of 1400 with kids playing, chickens roaming, etc. There were free kayaks and bikes, although they could have used mire bikes. All in all, lovely stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hopkins Bay Resort. The location was great - right on the prefect beach and close to town with dinning options. Our family stayed in the 3 bedroom house and there was plenty of room to spread out. The Rhum Shack was great with friendly service.

It was a very nice place, with wonderful ocean view. We did not get the upgrade, they said they were fully booked, but walking around you could see they only had a couple of other families. There were at least 2 of the ocean front (upgrade rooms) that were empty all weekend.

AS a family we took an entire villa over Christmas. Incredibly expensive and certainly not worth the price. A lot of money has been poured into the accommodations and the landscaping. However our appliances were old, the bathroom floor was missing large chunks of grouting, and the doors did not shut properly allowing san flies to enter and torment us. NO money was spent on the reception area comes as it is a shack. there are no sailboats or motorized watersports. The offered tours are excellent,but expensive. The single restaurant is very good. However, the food and the common areas pale with repect to Jaguar Reef down the road.
