Hotel Josefshof am Rathaus

For first timers visiting Vienna we could not fault this Hotel from the moment we arrived up until we left. All staff were exceptional greeting us with smiles recommending places to eat and mapping out places to see. The rooms were comfortable and clean providing coffee machine, lovely shampoo leaving my hair smelling and feeling great, most importantly our bed was so comfortable after returning from a whole day of exploring.Had a short but sweet stay. We will be returning and most definitely recommending this Hotel to all our family and friends that wish to visit and experience Vienna.

The service from the staff was great, they are all really friendly and kindly gave us some restaurant recommendations. They were quick to say hello every time we walked past Reception. Room was good value for money, it suited us as we didn't spend much time in the room as we ventured out. The black out blinds were welcomed and we used them every night to get a good sleep. Great location, central to most things and alternatively tram and train were close enough to walk to, to catch. We would stay here again and recommend to friends/family.

I had two rooms booked for my family. One of the bedrooms, we found out that it hadn't been cleaned properly as we found blood on the duvet cover and pillow case. Next day with better lighting we also found blood spots on the bathroom. Despite the room being cleaned, the cleaner missed to clean the stains on the bathroom floor. We did not feel that it was properly cleaned and it concerned us. We had mentioned to reception twice but they did not show much concern to our complaint. We were offered a drink voucher as an apology. We also had left a note for the room attendant to leave us extra coffee amenities to which was ignored. Also the cups were not washed every day. The reception staff was young and pleasant and the bar staff from Bangladeshi was very friendly and professional.

Had a wonderful stay. Our room was comfortable and accommodated our family of 3. Breakfast was a treat with Viennese specialties. Walkable and wonderful neighborhood. Close to Ringstrasse and museums and public transport. Highly recommend!

I had a very pleasant stay at Josefshof am Rathaus! The staff were extremely nice and courteous. A special thank you to Anna to make my stay so pleasant and remarkable. I really appreciated all the kidness to me. Absolutely a charming hotel, great location, very close to the main spots of Vienna city. The room was very comfortable, spotless and quiet for a good night sleep. The breakfast was very good and really worth it. A great variety of fresh and tasty food. Thoughtful staff always looking to make your stay as much comfortable and pleasant possible way. Thank you very much!

My family and I stayed here in October 2022. Our experience could not have been any better. The room and the hotel grab you with an old-world charm and romance. The location is perfect, as it is walking distance to old town Vienna. The people of Hotel Josefshof am Rathaus were incredibly kind and helpful. I hope to return to Vienna soon, and will look to stay here as my first option.

Great location, great breakfast, suitable for 35+ and seniors.We stayed at their junior suite, it has balcony and sky line roof top windows. We will definitely revisit again!
