Heritage Hotel Hallstatt

Marvellous lake view. We stayed in the top floor commanding a whole view of the lake. We have 2 adults with a child. Hotel reservation was for two persons buffet breakfast. It is Expedia problem. Not specified a buffet breakfast included for the kid too. Hotel said ok for the child. Thanks.

2nd stay at Heritage - previously in junior suite, this time in lake view deluxe. Great views from main house Kainz. Room was comfortable with free water and coffee machine and fridge. They have renovated downstairs reception and restaurant, not much more space but feels more modern. The food at dinner and service were excellent and value for money. The breakfast was good but lacked variety. The only negatives relate to poor housekeeping not replacing items and a waitress in the restaurant with her hair up and big earrings who was so rude and difficult with guests - telling off everyone. The other waiters were helpful and polite. People are paying her wages who stay here and she should show some more respect in customer service matters - maybe retrain her or put here back of house please. Property has nice sauna in top floor. Overall enjoyable stay. Thanks.

Drove from Munich Reached Hallstatt 8.30pm, streets were empty, gps kept circling, by that time shuttle have stopped. Have to wait for someone to pass by. Some weren’t sure. One family told me parking and walking directions. Was about 2km walk in the dark lonely streets. Managed to find office, staff was off his work timing, just filing some paperwork, so was able to assist us. Needed to walk about 500m to find the room, in the quiet, drizzling dark lanes. Could have missed it easily, as the entrance stairs looked similar to all other houses in the dark. Very dated hotel, NO air conditioning, just a fan. Only appreciated the lovely view in daylight. Nice breakfast. Incentive of empty Hallstatt in the morning before crowds of tourist came in around 10.30am. Able to board free shuttle back to car park. Better not arrive late if driving

My family had one night stay here. We all love the astonishing view, room, service, environment, and most importantly, friendly crew. Definitely recommend this hotel.
