Hotel Hohenstauffen

Beautiful, Victorian looking hotel with excellent service. The family that runs this hotel is so sweet! The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The area is quiet, so you are guaranteed good sleep. It’s located within 5 minute walk to the train station and around a 15-20 minute walk to the part of the city across the river.

This was a nice little family-run hotel. The reception was warm and welcoming. Room was a bit compact, but lacked for nothing in the essentials. Breakfast was decent and gluten-free products provided on request. I would happily stay in this characterful hotel again, so that’s as good a recommendation as you could ask for.

Nice, cozy and nostalgia hotel. It feels like a home. It seems the hotel is family-owned. They are very friendly. Breakfast is great. Room is very clean. Price is reasonable. Hotel sits very close to the central train station, where you can hop on any bus to go anywhere. Quite a lot of restaurants and grocery stores are near by, and I love it. I plan to stay in this hotel again in my next trip to Salzburg. Highly recommend this hotel.

Small family run hotel in residential area very close to the station. Easy short walk to the city centre. Clean large rooms with welcoming staff. Generous breakfast with excellent coffee. Ideal for a city break.

Absolutely love this family run hotel. The best service and friendly staff. Frauer Reichl remembered me from my last visit with them. I can rave enough about this hotel. Clean, quiet and safe and always willing to help and have the best knowledge on what and how to get to and see things. This is now my go to hotel for Salzburg.

The hotel has been in the family for several generations. Although it’s not a modern and updated hotel it has a total charm…lots of antiques and old fashioned yet attractive furnishings…comfortable bed and quiet room which gave us an absolutely perfect sleep…great breakfast..and lastly, the staff…really lovely people! Stay here, it’s a treat!!

What a fabulous little gem right by the main train station in Salzburg! We just stayed 1 night to split up a longer journey to Vienna and see a little of Salzburg, so we wanted a clean, safe place near the train station and didn't have high expectations or needs in this case, however we were very pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Hohenstauffen, where I would definitely have stayed longer if the need arose. It is 5 min walk from the station, yet feels safe and quiet, which isn't always the case near train stations. The staff members were all friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very dated, but in a good way, as though we'd stepped back in time rather than feeling old and run-down. Everything was very clean and well-kept, and you can tell the family who runs this place has put a lot of effort into keeping it nice over the years. They include breakfast, which was ample to get your day started right. The room was very comfortable, with modern amenities and plumbing, even though the furnishings look practically antique. Both my husband & I fell in love with this place and would definitely stay again on another trip to Salzburg. Highly recommend it!
