ibis Brisbane Airport Hotel

I had previously only given stays there as family gifts as I thought it too dear for us. Not so!! It is so convenient & comfortable & takes so much hassle out of travelling. Just a short walk from the domestic airport or shuttle bus from the international airport. The rooms are clean, quiet and have excellent views. The meals are tasty, well priced & not over spiced or complicated for travellers. The staff are thorough & efficient & know what they are talking about & pre empt your questions when you arrive muddle headed from travelling. Definitely recommend & definitely will give more stays as gifts & stay there ourselves again. Best place we have stayed in Brisbane!

Hotel reception friendly and helpful, fun learning experience on using room card keys in elevators, clean rooms, great food and staff...huge plus for our cooler of perishables being stored in hotels freezer. I would like to share a not so good experience that happened upon arrival though, the cab driver we rode with from domestic to this hotel was terribly rude snd furious , he practically insisted we walk the very short distance here even though we explained our knees hurt and we couldnt walk with our coolers. He was livid, he practically threw our coolers and luggage in his trunk. Felt like a child being scolded and mind you I am in my 60s. Our cab fare was 20. but my husband gave him double because we understood his problem but we couldnt walk the distance. Well, our next flight was changed till much much later the next day so we rebooked again so we could rest and have our cooler in the freezer again, this time we had to wait till 2pm to check in but in the lobby. A huge thank you to the man that aided us in getting our room much earlier, we greatly appreciate you. I would definitely recommend your hotel, just be weary of the cabs though, better to catch the shuttles coming here or walk the short distance.

Convenient location in preparation for an early flight, quiet, my child was able to watch the planes land/take off and awesome staff.

Fire alarm went off in the night, staff lectured me on having two children and tried to have me book a separate room since I had two children, there was a charge for EVERYTHING-breakfast, airport shuttle, movies, etc.

SECURITY ISSUES I arrived 1am for a very short overnight stay. The check in process was slow, with the more senior of 2 staff having an extended conversation with guests checking in without a booking. The junior staff member eventually finished with a guest and served me. During the very slow process, the senior guy attempted to ask the junior to tag luggage for another guest while he was serving me. I asked if that could be done after I got my room key, and the senior stared me down at this challenge before reluctantly saying “sure”. I arrived at room 216 and swiped to enter. Inside, in the dark were luggage and a sleeping person roused asking “hello? hello?” as I started to enter. I left and immediately returned to the front desk to get a replacement room key. Disturbingly, my new room - 716 - had no latch inside the door to prevent someone from entering. I barricaded the door with my bags and spent a sleepless night worried that someone would enter. As a solo traveler, this was an extremely disturbing incident. I expected someone to mention it and apologize again on checkout but no-one did. Perhaps the night shift staff did not write an incident report and have attempted to conceal this significant security issue. This is also the 2nd Accor hotel with no laundry and no laundry service. I originally intended to stay longer at this hotel, particularly after the first hotel also falsified its Expedia listing to include a laundry, but there is nothing.

I live overseas, rarely travel, and was on my own following a sudden family bereavement. It was a stressful and sad time for me, and I felt safe and secure in my hotel room.

This was my first stay in Australia. And the fame IBIS has in Middle East is far more better than here which actually surprised me. My family came from home country and we had early domestic flight on next day, so I had choosen to stay on IBIS Brisbane Airport. At the arrival, there was no one to help with luggage so I took the trolley myself to carry the luggages on room and brought back the trolley to down by myself again. In the room there was no Hand Tissue at all. Though room was for three persons, there was only 2 small sugar sachet. TV didin't work. Good part of Hotel was.....Cleaniliness.

Overnight stay after being diverted to Brisbane. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were very clean and had enough space for two persons occupancy. The only gripes were we initially tried to checkin at about 10.30am and were told we could not, despite the rooms being ready, until 2.00pm unless we paid an additional $50 per room. Eventually, after an hour the lady at the front desk changed and the new staff member took pity on my kids sleeping on the reception couch and let is in without the extra charge. A small moan was in one room the bed leg was knackered so the bed sloped towards one side. The mattresses themselves were very comfortable. Overall, I would recommend.

Comfortable and clean. Room location close to rest of family. Food/restuarant downstairs was a nice place to meet with others. Close to airport and convenient.
