Best Western Ambassador Motor Inn & Apartments

I was quite surprised by the size and condition of the 2br apartment. Considering it is on the main road (Sturt Hwy) we had absolutely no road noise, and even during the storms we had while we were there the apartment was incredibly quiet. We had plenty of space, close to all facilities, within 1.5km of everything (CBD, hotels, restaurants, Wagga Beach), and less than 10min drive to Kapooka for my son's march-out parade. I highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Wagga, especially if you are coming down to see your family member's march out of Kapooka.

Upon check in we were met with a relief attendant who was friendly but with a no-nonsense manner. Hard to describe. Not sure she really wanted to be there. Not rude, just not very warm nor over welcoming. Just did what she had to do. She did however allow us a late check out but failed to mention this to the staff on the day. They were surprised we answered their knock at the door to clean. They went off to clean another room while we continued packing. Entering room I was pleasantly surprised how lovely it smelt. Very clean and tidy. Had everything we needed for a two night stay for four of us. Two single beds for our kids shared the small dining/kitchen in the front and ours was a separate bedroom with a queen. Separate bathroom with shower, basin and toilet off the kitchen. All beds very comfortable and TV in each room. Kitchenette was small but had everything you needed if you wanted to eat in. Good fridge but a little overstocked and not leaving much room for your own supplies. Being on the main Hwy it wasn't noisy all and very close to main shopping area, approx 3 min drive or a good 20 min walk. Good parking however very tight. Some of the bushes could've done with a trim to ease up on more space, especially where we were along the back. Another guests' car took up two parking spaces so as not to park too close to the bushes. We were forced to park further away from our room which was annoying on the first night unpacking our luggage from the car. Would stay again.
