Up Tribeca Hotel

The front desk staff were welcoming & helpful and somehow remembered my first name when greeting me day to day. I was very pleased with the room. It reminded me of a loft in Manhattan. Super high ceilings w/ exposed brick, track lighting, shiny wooden floors, full length mirror. Spacious bedroom, separate room with a kitchen/dining area, and step up bathroom that includes a separate bidet. Overall I was impressed with the presentation. I must be clear however, that the walls, ceiling and front door are very thin. The floors creak, and I heard every step the person in the room above me made. I could hear murmurs of neighbors' conversations and I was tortured with the incessant screams from a toddler 2 doors away. The rooms over look an open courtyard sort of area, however the layout increases the acoustics. Outdoor conversations echo off the walls of the facade, and you can hear people dragging suitcases and cleaning people pushing their carts. Understand that this is not to be taken as criticism. Overall its a charming hotel and I was very pleased with the presentation. I simply want to give an honest depiction of what to expect.
